Sheila Carlito - “E”
Fresh off of his recent debut album, Glitter, “E” proves to be a powerful opener. This track feels like three songs combined, stimulating a blissful five minute moment that feels as euphoric as being in love on ecstasy.
Niqa Mor - “Fantasies XXX”
R&B singer-songwriter Niqa Mor makes an anticipated return with her sensual and murky track, “Fantasies XXX.” Accompanied by an extremely dreamy visual, the songstress takes us through her fantasy of an intimate getaway with someone Tall, Dark & Handsome. Fusing together elements of trap and traditional R&B, Niqa creates a gritty, hybrid sound that is unmatched.
cln - “DUST”
Australian artist, cln, delivers with his second release of 2020 on his latest track “DUST.” It’s a chill electro-R&B track accompanied by simple drum-kit production and his crooning vocals. His sound can be described as electro-R&B, and can be likened to James Blake and Majid Jordan.
THE BLOSSOM - “Angel Fangs”
Sydney-born and Los Angeles triple threat (singer, songwriter, and producer), THE BLOSSOM, follows up with her playfully bittersweet single, “Angel Fangs,” after releasing her debut EP, BLEEDING BUTTERCUP, earlier this year. Through her writing, she explores hedonistic joys, anxiety, depression, growing pains, insecurities, and her narrative of being a young POC woman.
Galimatias - “Let Go”
“Let Go” is a track submerged in late-night feelings. Utilizing underwater landscapes, layered vocals that weave in and out of one another, the graceful running pianos, smooth drums, and his vulnerable, reverb-soaked voice that all bloom into a lush orchestra. "Let Go" is a viscous, gooey track that moves with sensuality and desire.
Aura - “I’m Good”
Brooklyn bred lyricist, Aura, radiates a smooth and captivating energy that feels reminiscent of Sade on her latest release “I’m Good.” The track delivers a sense of independence with lyrics emphasizing the feeling of detaching from codependency, realizing that you’re good on your own.
Joe Saan - “WAIT FOR ME”
Joe Saan creates a safe and familiar atmosphere on his recent release “WAIT FOR ME.” Upon first listen, you’re greeted with lush layered synths and his celestial-like breathy vocals that set a sensual and smooth tone throughout, with lyrics that make you yearn for that special someone.
Kota Banks - “Let U Leave”
Sydney Based, pop prodigy Kota Banks explores a more lighthearted and bouncy sound with playful melodies. The uptempo pop-garage anthem showcases the singer’s vocals floating effortlessly on a futuristic-esque production, transporting you to this pastel-colored digital fantasy.
Dounia - “Virgin Mimosas”
Master wordsmith and NYC native, Dounia, didn’t hold back an ounce on her sultry track “Virgin Mimosas.” Never missing with the pen, the songstress exudes every ounce of confidence onto this track, proving she’s truly on the path of greatness and cannot see anyone knocking her off.
