MUST LISTEN 035

Every week, we’ll be bringing you Must Listen: a series that's a compilation of rising artists along with songs that must be added to your everyday playlist. This week’s playlist consists of emerging acts like Loudy Luna, Feux, and Joyce Wrice. Turn up, tune in, and tune out!

Loudy Luna - Brad Pitt

After establishing herself as one of the hottest young producers by landing acclaimed credentials on projects by Future and Lil Uzi Vert, KEY!, Famous Dex and more, the Ohio native has no plans on limiting her creative train. On her newest single, “Brad Pitt,” the producer/rapper croons metaphoric words over a sedative beat as she showcases her lyrical talents on the microphone.

Madeleine Mayi -  ITRL

The LA-based singer/songwriter blends her soulful voice with warm synths and nostalgia-inducing lyrics, producing some of the most compelling and engaging indie-rock music. In her latest release, “ITRL,” an acronym for “in the right light,” Mayi sings about denial as she describes the uncertain and confusing situations we face from time to time.

Joyce Wrice - So So Sick

Following the release of her critically acclaimed single this past year, the Southern California local, Joyce Wrice begins the road to her debut LP with her fiery new single, “So So Sick.” She floats over the melodic beat, produced by Grammy Award-nominated D’mile, as she therapeutically sings about a past lover, the record asserting self-worth, and Wrice proclaiming to be the one to watch in the growing R&B scene.

Feux - My Way

The 20-year-old rapper from North-West London might be new to the scene, but he is nothing but consistent in imposing with his authentic sound and paving his own lane amid the rising UK talent. Feux’s debut album, PURE NINE perfectly highlights his genius, and in songs like “My Way,” as he blends melodies with ominous lyrics, it’s evident how the young wordsmith has garnered such an avid following and support over the years.

Ray Alex - Don’t Ask (feat. Cheryll)

The multi-instrumentalist from North London closes out 2020 with his new single, “Don’t Ask,” donning a soulful vocal performance from fellow Londoner, Cheryll and Solaaris on the wondrous saxophone. The song, heavily nostalgic of 90s R&B yet refreshing on its own, induces pleasant, laid-back vibes complemented flawlessly by the groovy flare of the beat.

Bellah - If I Were U

In her latest project, The Art of Conversation, Bellah solidifies herself as the next, most ambitious future R&B star. The songstress, who has been on the forefront of the UK R&B wave, accentuates her lead position in records like, “If I Were U,” where she perfectly showcases her ability to be relatable and original, and her undeniable gift of making a killer hook.

Ize - Moves

After the significant success of his single “This Is Not a Drill” earlier this year, rising rapper Ize follows up with his newest opus, “Moves.” With the beat as menacing and exceptional as the New York rapper himself, Ize’s verses are almost spoken word-like, in which he clarifies that for him “making moves” is not just a phrase, but a lifestyle.

Jeshi - Look Like Trouble

From collaborating with notable names like Celeste and touring with slowthai to the remarkable release of his EP, BAD TASTE earlier this year, the East London rapper has undoubtedly amassed listeners and supporters all around the globe. His latest single, “Look Like Trouble,” an aggressive smash sure to be a hit, only further assures the rising star’s promising future ahead.

P-rallel & Rachel Chinouriri - Give Me A Reason [Remix]

Gifted with soul and groove excellence, P-rallel is single-handedly keeping Jungle and Garage alive within the London scene. His expertise oozes out in the latest remix of “Give Me A Reason” with singer Rachel Chinouriri, as the two join forces to transfer you to an underground groove fest.
