MUST LISTEN 104

Every week, we’ll be bringing you Must Listen: a series that's a compilation of rising artists along with songs that must be added to your everyday playlist. This week’s playlist consists of emerging acts like Amie Blu, fearofmakingout, and Landon Sears.

Amie Blu

“Are We Alright?” is the third release from 19-year-old alternative R&B singer/songwriter, Amie Blu from South London, and the lead single of her debut five-track project, releasing April 29th. The track delves into the themes of codependency and attempting to justify someone’s negative actions by reminiscing on better times, all whilst knowing that nothing will change.

Moonlight Depot

Moonlight Depot, the duo, composed of multi-instrumentalist Carl Bernicker and DJ/Producer Ander Baizan, deliver a cathartic sonic offering on their latest track “Houseplant (feat. Kanui).” The silky r&b vocal melodies from featured artist Kanui explore the internal struggle of being torn between time dedicated to your passion and your lover.

Landon Sears

Kentucky native, Landon Sears, returns with his latest track “Solid.” The rising star delivers a fresh take on relationships and what it means to be Solid with your partner. True to form with uncompromising lyrics this track is the first taste of Landon’s upcoming project due later this year.

LOGUIDICE

Following the release of her debut EP ‘One’, Los Angeles, California-based singer-songwriter LOGUIDICE returns with a warming Pop-R&B offering ‘Mecation’. A feel-good bop, taken from her forthcoming sequel EP Two due in May. Woven with her familiar basslines, the track is sentimental in both its lyrical content and sonic style. Her harmonious blend of R&B-driven bass and percussion fused with her intricate hypnotic pop-inspired vocals make a deadly duo.

Steven Bamidele

Brighton UK neo-soul artist Steven Bamidele follows his 2021 EP Uncrowded with his latest slow-burning single "Every Step." This intimate and melancholic track was written during a transformative period of his life. Overall the track is an excellent reminder to slow down and practice gratitude.

Busty and the Bass

Busty and the Bass share another track from their upcoming KARNEVAL EP, a collection of soulful late-night hip-hop centered around the theme of an abandoned fairground, evoking memories of relationships, desire, and nostalgia. With their seamless blend of soulful vocals, hip hop, jazz-funk instrumentals, and signature brass and synths, Busty and the Bass is ushering in a new era of genre-defying sound.

Phoenix-based four-person band, fearofmakingout, release their new track, “b4ckup.” Sonically, the track reflects the dichotomy of pent-up aggression and the rush of the release. The accompanied visual further explores these themes by representing being roped into bullshit by association and breaking free.

Cassie Marin

Los Angeles-based vocalist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Cassie Marin returns with her new single, "Push Me." Opening with Cassie’s signature buoyant electro-pop production, it’s easy to get lost in the groove of this track. Underneath the high-energy beats and fizzy synths is a song that tugs deep at the heartstrings.
