Lifted from the highly anticipated sophomore album Field of Vision, releasing later in the year, “A Spectrum” is an exploration of existence, the cascade of human emotions that one goes through in life, day by day, week by week. Accompanied by Seth Findley’s distinct vocal talents, a joyful beat, and silky guitar riffs, the return of Honest Men is set to be triumphant.

Sonically taking notes from Afrobeats and Dancehall, produced by frequent collaborators Korky Buchek and Swick, “Where Yuh From” pulls apart a quintessential ragga riddim, beefing up the bass with laser-sharp stabs, tactile percussion, and flickering, twisting SFX embellishments that punctures the mainstream

With buttery vocals, feather-lite melodies, and lyrics that reflect his compassionate soul, visionary Cameron Forbes releases his sultry new ballad and video “Endless.” It’s a mood elevator. Sonically, it’s a love song over a modern-day R&B waltz packed with Doo Wop harmonies and live strings that are as elegant & multi-layered as my mom’s cheesecake.

ZULA & glue70

“Elevate Me” is a refined electronic R&B offering from the pair. Intricate, percussive textures move alongside a spaced-out lo-fi aesthetic to capture one of glue70's signature production moods. ZULA's sugary melodic refrain floats on top, reflecting on a story of friendship.

“Passionate” is a vaporwave track that’s a sax-intensive, smooth, laid-back banger. Meant to be on repeat while the sun goes down, “passionate” is off of VCR’s latest and last album under the name. In a statement on Twitter, they stated: “I'm not going to just disappear forever, I still have a mixtape that waits its time to be released, and I'm still gonna do original music under a different name.”

This sultry smooth track off of their latest album gets live treatment. With red covering the walls and floors as Maria and the band wear all black for contrast, the ending of the live version will have listeners of the album version in for a surprise as the drummer kicks it into high gear along with the guitarist with an arena rock-like anthemic finisher. As Maria repeats the hook phrase over and over, gradually fading into the background as the instrumental overtakes the track.

Indie rock at its best, Golf Alpha Bravo’s “DESTINO” has subtle yet emotional guitar chords, and a voice reminiscent of 90’s rock band frontmen. This easy, breezy, unwinding track is perfect for that cool summery day spent doing nothing but taking in the sights, enjoying time alone, and reflecting on the time which has passed.

“Socials” is a seemingly harmless song that does a deep dive into the psychology of social media. Using potent lyrics like “Don’t worry baby, I will show you how I live, to make your life seem more positive, but at the same time forget about my privileges.” The video aesthetic is that of a 70’s pop band but with a 2021 twist; painted nails and all.
